I participated at 42K and I can say, it was a unique experience!
I already participated at some alpin maratons in other countries but I was simply amazed by the professionalism which this maraton was oragnised with. Whatewer, SWISS MADE. :-)
Thanks again to all organisers and staff who did their best to allow us performing well and to concentrate only on the race.

A fantastic day, one I will remember for a very long time. At times it was definately mind over matter. 11 KM to go I was really doubting myself to finish the race. A fellor competitor (Marco from Zurich) noticed that I was finding things hard and offered to run all the way to the finish with me. We both finished together, for me this demonstrated the spirit of the marathon. Thanks very much Marco.

I did not complete the race as I fell not long after the Keschhutte and managed to run to Alp Funtauna helped by a fellow runner where I was taken by helicopter to Spital-Davos with a broken and dislocated wrist and numerous cuts and bruises.
Thank you to all who helped me; Sebastian Chaboute, my fellow competitor, the first aid men at funtauna, the helicopter crew and doctor and all in the Spital-Davos and of course my long suffering friends who waited at the finish line for me.

After running for over 30 years and having just completed the 2007 K78 I can truly say that it is an amazing event and a must on any distance runner's list of achievements. I now understand why the event attracts runners from across the world. Thank you to the organisers and all of those wonderful helpers who kept us watered and well fed. An experience of a lifetime!

I am getting ready to register for the Swiss Alpine marathon. My husband and I got engaged at the NYC marathon last fall, and got married atop Heartbreak Hill during the Boston Marathon. When we thought about how to start out honeymoon it had to be a with a marathon...
So we chose the Swiss Apline. My sister lives in Switzerland, with her husband, and two sons. We are so excited to come to Switzerland to run the marathon.
It is the perfect way to start out honeymoon!

It was for me a great experience: run the k42 in the rain, in this high altitude! Thanks for God, for the beautifull nature, for the mountains and for the organisation of the marathon.
But I haven't like the pasta party: it wasn't a "party". In the Blumenau Marathon here in Brazil some musical groups plays to give more joy to the dinner!!
Ohne Laufer gibts es zwar nicht,
aber ohne geht's gar nict.
