This start is intended for runners who can complete the K78 in 11 to 14 hours. This rule, which has been introduced for the first time, is going down well. Current applications for the K78 indicate that 20% of the runners will be at the start at 06.00 a.m., which will eventually result in a field of about 200 to 300 entrants. The front runners of the 08.00 a.m. start will overtake the field of early starters after Filisur.
The Keschhütte passage is planned as follows:
Start at 06.00 a.m.: 00.45 p.m. – approx. 03.00 p.m.
(Keschhütte may be passed at 00.45 p.m. at the earliest.)
Start at 08.00 a.m.: 00.00 – 03.40 p.m.
The field of early starters will be so well split up by the Keschhütte that it will easily be possible to overtake on the Panorama Trail. The rule of fair play is especially important here: slower runners must allow faster runners to pass them.
Highseven
The Anniversary programme from 25 to 31 July has many different things to offer. In particular this year there will be two excursions to the Convent of St. John in Mustair (a UNESCO world heritage site) and a train journey on the Bernina Express. Go to our website and look under the "Highseven" heading to find out more about the attractions available. You can register for these two events online.
Farewell-Party
The Silver Anniversary will be rounded off by a Farewell Party on Saturday evening. Everyone is invited to take part in this event. Refreshments will be provided. Because of various unsatisfactory issues and the fact that we are having a Farewell Party, there will now be no Pasta Party on the Friday evening.

Alpinathlon Engadin St. Moritz – you can get it!
The new Alpinathlon Engadin St. Moritz is an offshoot of the Swissalpine team competition. The starting gun for the Alpinathlon Engadin St. Moritz will sound on 24 July 2010. The Alpinathlon is a combination of sport, adventure, team spirit and pushing the boundaries. As a team, couple or individual, athletes will have to conquer mountain and valley, hiking trails and high alpine routes, summer and winter.
In the 136.6 kilometres between Bergün and the Corvatsch mountain station, athletes will have to master climbs of 5,854 metres and descents of 3,918 metres. The total distance is split up into five sections. The athletes must complete one section on a road bike and two each by mountain bike and on foot.
