With a most impressive performance, local lass Jasmin Nunige won the 30th Swissalpine in Davos on Saturday. Running on her home territory, she out-ran her closest competitor by almost half an hour. As far as the men went, Evgenii Glyva from the Ukraine was triumphant.
With the decision of series winner, Jonas Buud, not to participate, there is certain to be a new hero of the Swissalpine on 25th July in Davos. The pace of the women runners on this 30th anniversary event will surely be set by local lass Jasmin Nunige.
In honour of its 30-year-jubilee on 25th July, the Swissalpine Marathon in Davos has several new features to offer. For the expected approximately 5000 runners from about 60 countries, no less than eleven main categories await them. For adults, the distances of these classifications range from ten to 76 kilometres.
What began as a ‘race for the insane’ has long ago acquired international fame and regard. On Saturday, 25. July 2015 the Swissalpine Marathon Davos will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. New, as part of the celebrations, will be a jubilee relay race and a round-run from Davos to Dischma, Sertig and back to Davos.
